While browsing the GAP store oggling their new Threadless onesies I happened upon the baby girl’s summer line and found these pieces. LOVE! GAP has in the past had a freaky sense for adorable lightweight summer girls’ dresses, and this combination has made me fall in love all over again!

As some of you may know, GAP and Threadless teamed up this spring to produce a fresh line of tee’s for men and women. Well now that summer is rolling around, they’re extending the new line to include tee’s and onesies for your little dude or dudette! Graphic tee’s are a mainstay in ANYONE’s wardrobe, and as they say, variety is the spice of life. SO, next time your wee ones outgrow their current set of duds, be sure to stock up on this summer fashion staple any which way you can :)
How do you make a cute little sleeveless glam dress even more glam? Add lego David Bowie of course! Simply cut, soft cotton and ruffles, with Ziggy Stardust printed bright and loud- summer garden parties beware :)

Ready for a new bib to add a splash of color (other than “spaghetti sauce red”?) to your baby’s picnic apparel? Check out this sweet bandana bib from bebé style newcomers noñoño! I don’t know how we missed this little gem before, but to be honest I’m tempted to save it from a lifetime of food spillage and just use it as a style accessory. Because seriously, the cuteness of a colorful bandana without the safety issues of having to actual tie something around your little sweetling’s neck? I think we might be onto something here..
Ever since we found out we were having a baby girl I’ve been obsessed with brown and pink styles. Case in point, Emma now has three pairs of shoes that are brown with pink flowers. And my love for the color pairing extends beyond shoes. When I saw Baby Eggi’s Apron Jumper in brown and rose petal for sale on Zulily, I couldn’t help myself. I bought two, in sizes 2T and 3T.
At the time, Emma was in size 6 months. After placing my order, I felt a little sheepish. I hadn’t heard of Baby Eggi before, much less owned any of their clothes. I wondered if I had bought more baby clothes that would languish unworn in Emma’s Closet. I needn’t have been worried.
When I received my purchases in the mail, I eagerly pulled out the jumpers. They were the softest material I have ever felt ( a cotton/modal blend), and the colors were rich and complimented each other perfectly. I wish they came in my size! Emma hasn’t been able to wear the jumper yet; it’ll be the perfect outfit for her next summer and into the fall. I definitely plan to use it as a layering piece with tights or leggings, and a sweater and cute pair of boots.
Baby Eggi didn’t disappoint when it came to my love affair with pink and brown, and my delight in my impulse purchase led me to check out their website – which is gorgeously simple. Something I appreciate in all things.

Do you remember the Kool Kid legs we posted about in ? We loved them so much that we contacted Mama Runs With Scissors’ etsy shop to see if she’d like to participate in Boy’s Fashion Month, and luckily for us (and you!) she did! We were sent a long-sleeved tie onesie in black with coordinating argyle gray and black Kool Kid legs and a hat, and from the moment we laid our eyes on it, we were in love. The dark argyle pattern gives it a subtle sophistication that is delightful in contrast to a chubby, giggly little boy.
The onesie fits Henry snugly, with a little room to grow. His diapers peeked out at the edges where the crotch snaps together, but that’s nothing new when you use cloth diapers. The hat is adorable, perfect for a trip to the pumpkin patch or a fall festival, but perhaps too thin for winter winds. My very favorite thing about it was the way it stood straight up, making Henry look like a punky little gnome.
The Kool Kid legs are thick and soft, with an important difference from the other baby leggings we own. Our other baby legs have bands at the top and bottom of the leggings that are the same size. They can be worn in either direction, and they usually require a few tugs to pull them back up. Henry considers any interruption during playtime The End of All Things, so sometimes this task results in devastating consequences. The Kool Kid legs have a thicker band at the top, so they stay perched at the top of pudgy thighs. I watched Henry crawl, wrestle with the dog, roll around, and still the legs were comfortably secure. I checked after a few hours to see if they were squeezing too much (another issue have with our other baby leggings-red marks from where they squished fat thighs) and while there were slight indentations, they weren’t the usual red or uncomfortable-looking marks I’m used to seeing.

As promised, our exclusive interview with Jen of Eden’s Bouquet! Love the insights into her inspirations and process, every designer has a different story to tell- hers is one of wedding gowns, European style, and a healthy dose of country living.
I am inspired by fine fabric. I could spend days in the fabric store or trade shows, especially bridal textiles and notions. It is so easy to dream up collections when you have piles of fabric in front of you. The trick is keeping all my dreams in order. I am also inspired by European designers. They take children’s fashion seriously and the attention to detail is amazing.
I have no formal training in fashion design. I have some funny stories to tell involving country girl(me), major tradeshows and big time magazine editors.
Like a lot of mothers, I started out sewing for our children and never got tired of it. I then started selling one of a kind creations made from vintage wedding gowns on eBay. In 2003 I started designing exclusively for PoshTots.com before launching my first collection in 2004.
Imagination and my sewing machine. Designing is a wonderful creative outlet for my overflowing mind.
Bridal magazines. I love thumbing through these for inspiration, the details and textiles are unexpected in children’s clothing and that is what I love. More recently I have been inspired by our trips to the ocean and the quaint old beach towns. There’s something about history that sparks my imagination.
I think it would be fun to eventually open up a little brick & mortar boutique. Then, open boutiques all over the world and on the moon with women’s clothing, a maternity line and a complete home collection. Haha. Seriously, this venture has taken me farther than I had ever imagined so if this is it, I’m happy.
I love designing Formalwear and find myself adding a touch of fancy to styles whether I plan to or not.
I love the use of lavish fabrics and romantic style that I am seeing in the fall 2010 women’s collections. I try to incorporate trendy silhouettes into my designs and many of my styles and color pallete are inspired by women’s clothing. I love when moms say they want to wear eden’s bouquet.
The fabric & style trends are right up my alley and I will definitely draw inspiration from them for upcoming collections.
I think the colors, detail and fabric in my collections make them unique. I don’t know of many children’s clothing designers that use silk the crazy way that I do.
The bloomers. Comfortable, simple and adorable with everything. My all time favorite collection is the Cobblestone Collection.
Vysann Lull is a boutique founded with the simple goal of making the best of Scandinavian children’s fashion more accessible for US parents. Founder Johanna Lillpers sought out organic, eco friendly and ethically manufactured clothing and found a bounty of it in her home country of Sweden.
We are in LOVE with the bold yet simple retro style found in many of the labels carried by Vyssan Lull. The playful styles carry a vintage feel, as if they come from a simpler time and place. They are a great place to find unique products that are hard to find anywhere else!

Halloween is a holiday both kids and parents can look forward to when there are cute costumes out. Gymboree just released this adorable Triceratops Tyke outfit, boasting several key features that will appeal to small children AND their keepers. Felt claws and spikes dot the headpiece, giving anxious hands something to fiddle with while waiting for candy, and caregivers will appreciate the way the outfit has a touch-close front and pull-on pants. We can’t guarantee there won’t be accidents, but at least the pants will give your little one a fighting chance to get the outfit off when they use the bathroom.
